Interpretation of Shark
The 2nd piece I made for the series "The inner workings of a dyslexic brain..."
Ive been playing with the feeling of comfort I get when creating works without heads or eyes.
I am often confronted with situations where my eyes have seen something but my brain will interpreted it as something completely different. I try to represent this in my sculptural work, the body is recognisable but the head and brain are a jumbled beautiful mess. Using combinations of geometrical shapes makes it easy to show that there is in fact structure but not necessarily any concise order to thought.
